Lavender Menace Flowy Crop Tee
Lavender Menace Flowy Crop Tee
Inspired by the pivotal "Lavender Menace" movement of the 1970s, this cropped tee boldly pays homage to our LGBTQ+ women's rights activists.
The Lavender Menace movement emerged as a response to the exclusion of lesbians from mainstream feminist movements, asserting their presence and demanding recognition within the broader struggle for equality. When Betty Friedman described lesbians as a threat calling us "the lavender menance" we made shirts about it. We're still making and wearing shirts about it.
These are a super comfy 65/35 polyester/combed ring-spun cotton with a nice stretch. This top is hand pressed with a vintage fade screenprint transfer.
SapphicSpace is a Lesbian, Asian-owned 3D printed art boutique in the heart of North Carolina. We specialize in sapphic themes but are proud to make artwork for our LGBTQ community.
